For those who have children, what is the cost of delivering a baby, with or without insurance.

People be having children left and right and I'm like :ohhh:

Are the bills be covered in full by insurance? There's a whole lot of people who don't have insurance or a job having a baby. Is there some type of pool of funds for uninsured?

I don't know how it is now since I was born in the late 80s, my mother said she can't remember how much it cost to deliver me because some kind of welfare program helped her out and cleared the entire bill.

My brother and sister cost about 19 grand each and were paid off through her job.

150k to get a antivenom shot?

:gucci:
Definitely overpriced AF.

IIRC though, anti-venom isn't something that hospitals have on hand. I could be wrong, but I believe they have to find someone in a snake farm and that person has to get venom from a snake in real-time, mix it and send it to the hospital.

Sounds archaic AF but I think that's what I heard in a podcast.

Still overpriced, but I did expect it to be more expensive than any normal man-made pharmaceuticals
