Flipped around and got a 52 inch in late 09. nikkas couldn’t tell me shyt.i remember back in 2009 when the hottest thang on da streets was a 42 inch LCD...i bought mine at walmart for like $1600 and one of the nikkas that worked there helped me wheel it out to the car, i was standing next to my tv and nikkas was walking past and staring like...

I remember when I paid $3500 for the hotness in Plasmas at the time, a 50” Panasonic Professional 720p behemoth that had to have weighed 200lbs and could warm a 600 sq ft room in the dead of winter. I couldn’t stretch for the top tier Pioneer Elite Plasma 1080p for $5k…Or u can cop one for $3500. It depends on the brand and quality level. Always has. I remember my pops bought a Sony DVD player in 97-98 for like $1500.That’s crazy , you can cop a 65 inch 4k tv today for 400 -450 bucks

Yessir. I can’t even get an LG OLED to last over 4 years without completely shytting the bed for literally no reason.Reminds me of times when people used to take out damn near a mortgage to get furniture, electronics and appliances.
If you didn't live this timeline you wouldn't know why China won the manufacturing wars in the end. shyt used to cost more but also last longer. Less frequent replacements and trips to the store. But also slower innovation.
on that little ass TV costing $5000 back in 99
