When i saw that stick jutting out, i feared that it would disconnect him from his lil parachute. It did not.
Was the wind knocking him back into the wall? Did he not jump out far enough?
THE SLOW MOTION & MUSIC MAKE IT EXTRA AWFUL TO WATCH.
I got to watch it again when I get to a PC but wind can fukk you all up. I don't know the ends and outs of base jumps but he didn't perform a parachute landing fall.
at one point it looked as if he hit his face which would have prevented him from doing so. I know jumpng from a plane on static line and not jumping far enough will have you hit the side of the plane fukking up the way your chute comes out. You'll have very bad twists that way

..Check out military jumps and bad exits from an aircraft. Either two things will happen. You'll get a partial malfunction causing twists in your risers which can prevent your parachute from fully opening. Either you pull your reserve which is last resort or you grab a hold of both sets of risers and bicycle kick out of it. Usually that does the trick but if for some reason it doesn't and you notice you are falling faster than everyone else
pull your
reserve and pray.
I know that hurt. @
I've panicked in air but under no circumstances will I ever not keep my feet and knees together. I've had landings where I thought I've broken a rib or two.
All in a days work
..Civilian chutes not so much. The day you aren't nervous about jumping is the day you go see mental health. I've been aboard with Ranger Instructors, Navy Seals, Special forces, etc and everyone gets nervous. It's perfectly natural. I've seen the biggest of men with multiple combat deployments, shot at blown up, etc
Your feet just dangling.
