He's not wrong.
But like most comedians these days, everything they do revolves around tearing down things that people like.
Bill Burr admitted it when he said he tries to offend both sides of any issue and then sits back and watches the chaos.
That's what all these comedians and guys with podcasts do these days.
It's funny. But it gets tiring very quickly.
Taylor Swift ain't for you. Fine. But this guy benefitted from being white too. He just didn't have parents as rich. So what are you mad about? You're basically in the same Jacuzzi with this bytch.

when I see how much people are into Taylor swift or Selena Gomez. At least Taylor looks like she got work done and looks better than she used to. So shes not unattractive. But Selena like a little boy.

Im not a fan of hers at all.
She is basic IMO and definitely benefitted from that privilege.
But shes making music that resonates with A LOT of people and to her credit, she gives a damn about her craft and doesnt phone it in like 95% of rappers nowadays. She is at that "beyonce" level where every project is a well oiled machine of production, marketing, sound engineering and meant to evoke something different.
To me shes what Brock Purdy is to the Quarterback position, someone who is very average in their trade, surrounded by privilege but when the lights are on, they execute and understand what they have to do to tie it all together. You dont have to like them and can rightfully call them out on lack of talent, but cant deny theyre performing at a elite level

it aint like shes the only rich white woman with connections in the music industry. she used shyt to her advantage but her staying power is clearly beyond that. so...

I don't have an issue with her. She seems like a better human being than most. And regardless of what anyone says her work ethic is crazy. Talent is not enough to be successful.

Dude was a bit hyperbolic, but there was a ton of truth in his statement. The vast majority of the folks who are amazed by Taylor Swift's success are completely oblivious to how she got started. I have no problem with what he said because for everyone making a similar statement, the there are thousands trying to pour you a glass of T. Swift Koolaid.

It’s not like she’s getting praised from anyone outside of her demo, her demo is white people in America and there are a lot of them, and she appeals to them because most of them live generic faux hard lives and relish in the plight of a boyfriend not calling back. It’s not rocket science why an average looking and sounding white woman became so popular, she’s a slightly heightened version of most of her demo
