You want to workout using as many natural movements as possible.... most isolation exercises aren’t natural movements, but can carve your physique

What are your thoughts on the 5x5 programs?

Especially for people who want to eat more/better and gain muscle? I keep reading about the 5x5.
That was what we used in high school to get big. And it worked. But that was almost 20 years ago so I don’t know what “modern” opinions about it are...

We’d start with 3 reps of 10 for about 4-8 weeks to get acclimated to a routine tho, then switched to the 5 x 5 when people started to plateau

There is no perfect excerise program :manny:
Otherwise everyone would be doing that. It good to have the basics down right with good form. And then move on more complex excerises. Eventually you’ll figure out what type of excerises works your body best and incorporate them into your workout.
