I'd say the GZA, but solely because there's no project of Lupe's I've been able to get into like Liquid Swords. And that's not fair to Lupe. GZA has projects that i listened to once and that was it.

For the Lupe fans, what do you recommend I listen to? I've only heard The Cool and FNL.

This post contradicts itself. How could his rhyming be simple and straightforward and also have multiple meanings and interpretations?
I thought you had to go to Harvard to be a Lupe fan?
I thought a big aspect of what made Lupe great, to his fan base, was trying to catch all the different interpretations of what he might be saying and the entire verse/song metaphors where the meaning isnt readily apparent?

Lupe can't be both the most incredible deep/dense lyrical rapper
of all time but also the most accessible, easily understood rapper of all time.


It's why I always
when I interact with Lupe stans (not fans) because I know there's a level
of dishonesty when it comes to bro and his lyrical prowess.

Talking about raps, and check the threads the level of GZA disrespect is unbelievable.

He makes some songs that are extremely dense and abstract that a GZA, Nas, or Rakim can't do based on their careers thus far. And he makes the simple stuff that they do, also. It's not a difficult concept to grasp.

He made "Mural Jr" and he made "Show Goes On". The guys you named only make "Show Goes On"
