don't you play PS2? is it fuct up now or some shyt?
I stopped playing it because the supposed "quality of life" update to fix the major problems with the game was in reality the worst patch ever dropped - far worse than the MCC thread you see here. I quit supporting it until the dev team gets their heads out of their ass.
Check this: They have a play test server that they use to test new things before they add it to live. The issues are that
A) Whatever is on Test server will not translate to Live in the same way, making the Test Server pretty much uneeded.
and
B) They have a bug tracker that they WILLINGLY IGNORE simply to meet deadline. There's countless situations where people have voted up a Test Server bug on the tracker, listing it as severe and game breaking and SOE will not respond to it and still release the patch. WEEKS in advance notice.
The engine was so bad that they dedicated like half a year to fixing it. They broke (and reverted) most of the performance gains in two months time. Every patch is a gamble. To top it all off, majority of the dev team does not know the engine and can't squash longstanding bugs because *drumroll* the engine is one big clusterfukk of hacks.
The development team sucks. The engine sucks (DID I FORGET ITS STILL DX9 FOR NO fukkING REASON?!). And management in both the game and the development team are do not exist.
