Just started playing this and I'm addicted to hacking other people.

I hacked one dude and hid in a semi that was backed up to a dock. Watching him scramble around in a panic while I just sat there was awesome.

i've played about 2 hours of Watch Dogs on PC so i'm just dipping into it, but off the bat i gotta say the the graphics are underwhelming and i'll explain why i feel that way.

first of all this is the first game that i have had to downgrade the graphics from Ultra to High in order to make it playable.
this is a problem because i have played games that looked much better and played smooth as butter on Ultra.

examples...

the entire Arkham series looks better than Watch Dogs, also Far Cry 3, Tomb Raider, Max Payne 3, Metro Last Light all looked better and i'll give examples.

Dust, garbage moving around with the wind, hair, textures on miscellaneous items in the world...Nvidia Phsx has spoiled me with all the little details that i have come to expect when gaming.
yes i know i just started playing but this is what i have noticed so far.

the face of the main character is done very well in Watch Dogs along with the entire model.
the driving mechanics are kinda off but maybe i just gotta get used to it.

i will play this game, beat it and give my thoughts along the way but before i end this post @daze23, thanks for the great price on the hook up for the game and @Ciggavelli, i totally agree that consoles are holding back PC gaming by giving us these bootleg ports. my GTX 760 aint got shyt on your joints but it should be able to run this game way better than it is and a much better version of the game should be available to PC gamers.

Fetus out.

pc gamers are a guest in our house

if it wasn't for several generations of successful console gaming, PC gaming would still be in its infancy.

yeah, but we are way past that point.

you ever here that quote about "standing on the shoulders of giants"?

well, consoles stood on pc's, then pc's stood on consoles, now consoles stand on PC's...but PC's have been ready to jump off and just fly away for years.
at some point consoles are going to have to make their units modular and offer players the ability to have custom settings for graphics just like PC users have so we can all enjoy these games.

the console / PC separation is no bueno for anyone.
why would you want to buy a console that you cannot upgrade until you buy the newer model 8 years later?
why force devs to create games for obsolete hardware?

why?

because its undesirable to upgrade your graphics card every year. if console gamers disappeared, most triple A devs would go out of business. at the end of the day, y'all need us way more than we need you.

i upgrade my card every 3-4 years.
granted, if i was swimming in cash i would upgrade annually but it would not be out of necessity.

these games are being developed for systems with STATIC hardware that is labeled as "NEXT GEN" when in reality the hardware is a Gen behind PC hardware (at least) and i say that because there really is no "Next Gen" with PC's...it's always changing and getting better. we don't have to wait 8 years for the next upgrade but we don't have to upgrade every year either because even if my rig is 5 years old it's still better than the console that came out 8 years ago.

Ubisoft's latest open world game, Watch Dogs, lets players assume the role of a hacker named Aiden Pearce. Pearce uses a cellphone app to learn more about the strangers roaming Watch Dogs' version of Chicago—and some players are using this information to kill digital minorities.
