I remember as a kid watching my brother play RE3 and nemeis would be popping up everywhere, I actuall vividly remember the first time he had gotten into a random encounter with him he ran into a different room and we were both when he followed him in with the rocket launcher.

and dude was legit hard to kill too

Mr X was low key more fukked up than Nemesis, man. Did you meet him on the first playthrough? It's been so long but I remember the second Playthrough the fukker was in your face like damn near every other 10 minutes......having you cautiously opening doors with all your high power weapons out....then you got complacent....thought shyt was good, back tracking like you normally do then That fukker punched through a wall and beat the brakes off your ass 'cause you done went a good hour or so without meeting him...shyt had me shook for a while.....plus it was the Dual shock version so that controller shocked the shyt out of me when it happened.

Came in to post RE 2. But Capcom basically pioneered that shyt for the modern era. Recurring bosses have always been around but never have they been quite like Mr. X or Nemesis, atleast in that era.

Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid were revolutionary games for their era.

Ive beaten RE2 multiple times & have no memory of random encounters wit Mr. X , I musta just assumed it was designed for him to be there....

Nemesis though... 1st time i heard the theme song come on, then the footsteps & "STARS" ... run to next room , next room , next room , next room ....
