I might be muddling things up in my head since it's been 10 Plus years since I played it but I could have sworn he rushed you in a Safe room once..more than likely could be mistaken, but I know there were situations that you were put into that you couldn't just outright dodge him 'cause you was in a corridor and the door behind you was locked or disabled in some way. Could be mistaking it for one of those situations.
All this fukking RE2 talk makes me want to cop this shyt on PSN now, man....
