Unfortunately, there are quite a few people who believe that people over a certain age have something wrong with them, if they don't have kids. So, it doesn't surprse me to read that some woman at your job feel that way.
I definitely don't subscribe to that belief. It is actually a backwards ans ignorant way of thinking, IMO.
First, not everyone wants to have kids. For those who do want kids but don't have any kids, they may want to be married before having kids.
Next, there is no such thing as people going through life not having any sort of flaw, shortcoming, issue, etc. It's just thst people prioritize what problem, issue, shortcoming is more egregious or not.
You can talk to one person who look down on childless people then talk to another person who is envious of childess people. Same goes with those who are married as opposed to being single.
At the end of the day, you gotta let people think the way they think and if they think something is wrong with you because of your lifestyle and life choices, then they don't have to deal with you!
You have just as much ammo to shyt on their lifestyle and life choices which will most likely make you out to be the villain, even if what you said was justified.
I say, continue to do you and don't allow others to define or dictate how you should live your life.

Call me crazy but I always thought you were supposed to be married BEFORE you had children......or even thought about having them.
Even being brought up around a bunch of single parents, I ALWAYS believed that it was the right way to do it.

Not really. Those of us who've worked with the type of women described in OP know EXACTLY where he's coming from. It isn't all women by any means, just a certain segment. I can almost guarantee that the majority of Black single mothers do not act like that at all. You know how it is, though. The attention is always drawn to those who make the most noise.

I work with em everyday and that’s enough for me.
Why is it only our community who say dumb shyt like if you don’t have a child in your 20s you’re a failure?
I broke up with a girl cause she kept trying to get me to get her pregnant. She kept saying she didn’t wanna be 40 with no kids but she’s just 24 right now. A year later she got her wish and has a kid, but the baby’s daddy isn’t in her life. She be posting shyt on IG and FB talking about how lonely she is and how she needs new friends
I know another chick who’s 29 who be posting pics of babies all the time talking about she’s ready to have one, yet she is jobless, stays with her parents, no car, and is on social medial all day.
I always tell teachers I’m working with if I ever do decide to have a kid it won’t be till I’m making at least 60-70k & I’ve already traveled the world.
I work with em everyday and that’s enough for me.
