It's called lyrical encasing When you rhyme words together within a stanza that are preceded or followed by a constant word(or words) at the end or beginning of each line, thus defining the rules for the current style being used at the moment.

dawg, he never even heard the song
how you gonna wale WHALE PUSHER

Firstly you know the diff because you have a reference point, you remember they are two different people
He may have heard the song but didn't remember as much as you do because you are a hip hop fan.

Secondly how do you know that Wale is not a dirty Whale Pusher?

I don't think so, they are unbiased to lyrics and don't care about flow or beats

I'm a huge Kendrick fan but look how the lyrics sound when there's no flow?
Not that great eh?

Actually listen to his verse, you'll see that like me you keep rewinding it over and over again because of his energy, flow and voice and how it blended in with a DOPE beat, voice affect flow right?

But see how they respect Lupe's line at the end?

Lyricism is poetry yo!

Since when have these type of tracks ever had good lyrics. Kendrick aint painting a picture or telling a story in that verse hes making a direct point, issuing a direct challenge to these guys. How many times have we seen nikkas try to do that in a clever metaphorical type way only for the other nikka to be like 'yo that's one interpretation man, i dont really see it like that, i dont think nikka talking bout me yo'. Never did i ever say the lyrics in the verse were great, i like the verse for the energy and the flow which we cannot discount and for the motivation behind it and what he is trying to do by spitting it, just look at the impact its had. You cant say something with such huge impact isnt great.

if heard the song, he would not have said no goddamn WHALE PUSHER, there's nothing in that shyt that would make you recall that
if you don't know who Wale is, why are you even speaking on rap
stop making excuses for these fukks
