Plus 9 out of 10 times, fans will cheer for the hot tag, which is more reaction than the run of the mill singles match where both wrestlers aren't over.

harvey was a tag wrestler since the attitude era. back when tag teams actually mattered.

ziggler was part of the spirit squad which you can argue if its a legit tag team.

cody i forgot about, but i think he debuted in a feud against orton.

i dont watch tna. but bubba was again in a tag team when tag wrestling actually meant something.

PPVs don't sell because of tag teams, but if Big Show was in a tag team right now, he wouldn't be hogging up a main event spot in PPVs like he is now.

Not sure what youre gettin at though breh. The E has treated tag teams like shyt for the past 8 years. In the past though some of your biggest stars came from that aspect by getting over with someone else first.

A lot of the greats we mention all the time Shawn, Bret, Austin, even Rock to a degree have been in tag teams. While the latter didnt need it, it managed to get someone else (Foley) over in the process.

Point is, dont blame tag team wrestling for not producing stars. The system for star making is just fractured in this day and age.

Back in my day, you had at least 6 tag teams at a time......and they weren't just 2 random wrestlers put together; they were REAL teams that dressed alike and shyt.

nah they had some tag teams, they just suck bro, it's not like it was back in the day. the main event was loaded with talent and the new talent had the start within a tag team then branched out as singles competitors. the talent level isnt there. and tag matches are boring especially without gimmicks these days.

Some of my favorite matches ever were tag matches. I got old tapes of Windham and Arn vs. Doom and shyt with LOD, Tully/Arn, rockers, Demolition, Hart Foundation, Rougeaus, list goes on and on.

Growing up I was big on the TLC nikkas. Dudleys were the shyt.

Plus, APA kicking ass for no reason. Road dogg and Gunn showing out.
