It's sad how bad NXT is considering how H basically has access to 99% of the top non-WWE talent from around the world and still churns out this trash.

NXT was carried in the early days by top Indy talent, now that many of them have been called up the shyt is bunk. No creative direction snd H's performance center isn't creating nearly enough quality homegrown talent to make up for the losses.

And this is the man in whom you place your faith for the future :hhh:

Losing talent to the main roster isn't the problem. They have no direction right now, their uniqueness and aura is gone because they aren't developing any storylines. The build for Nakamura vs Roode was non existent, Asuka has no credible threats. I'm not all that enthusiastic about Takeover aside from Naka vs Roode and Asuka vs The World. DIY vs AoP will probably end in a no contest or DQ and won't last very long.

It always surprises me you have to SCROLL past so many shows to get to NXT on the Network apps.. you shouldn't have to flick past the Cruiserweight Classic nd the fukking State of the WWE Universe b/s from last year to get to the latest episode of NXT. shyt is getting treated like a red-headed stepson.:francis:

nxt looking funny in the light:mjpls:

well maybe if they put the rocket on kenneth crawfords back instead of pushing a bunch of indy darlings and tna rejects with a bunch of mileage thus being more prone to injury over homegrown talents they wouldnt have this problem:mjpls:
oh wait their ability to either create homegrown talent or push the right ones suck:mjpls:

Revival, DIY, Joe, Nakamura, Roode, Asuka are a nice top shelf....it has to be the writing not the talent

Biggest problem in NXT is the lack of creativity. Signing names just for the sake of it and then not giving them much to do (TM61, Roderick Strong specifically) hurts.

Who's the head writer down there now?

This is it.

It's just signing names to sign names, no direction for these characters.

It`s like the WWE is collecting good workers and indy names, not so much to use them, but to keep them in their boxes on a shelf to display.

"We got Roddy, Roode, Young, Andrede, TM61, Tommy End, Big Damo, Aries, Kenta, Hero, Gargano, Ciampa, Lorcan, Joe, Nakamura"

While some have been utilized well (Gargano and Ciampa really only two that come to mind) the rest have been underutilized or just aren't making a difference in any way in their roles

Last I heard, Ryan Ward was the writer before he was drafted to SD. Back then, it was superb storytelling but I'm not sure who's in charge now.

Finn Balor's title run was pretty boring. Don't know if Ward was writing then, i`m pretty sure he was.

NXT flat out lost too many stars and brought in too many has beens. It's pretty simple.

I don't know if we're ever gonna see NXT like it was in 2014 (Zayn, Neville, Owens, Breeze, Balor, Four Horsewomen). That was back when NXT had better writing and better shows, the mentoring of Dusty, the weekly NXT's were great and sometimes can't miss. I'll be honest, the weekly NXT's are shyt, Takeover still great though.

I don't even watch the weekly shows.

There's no reason to

As they brought up guys they should've sent down "name" guys who could fill the spots and help for a little bit. Main name that comes to mind is Dolph Ziggler.

I always thought he should go to.

Kinda like how Tyson and Cesaro would mess around in NXT now and again.

Instead they looked to vets outside of the company like Roode & Young, and they couldn't feel less important or relevant.

Whereas a Ziggler, Sheamus or Darren Young could bring some good match quality and some main roster rub

NXT was supposed to be developmental. They need to start treating it as such.
It still is. It's the official barrier between the minors and the majors. With all due respect to you (not singling you out by any means), people have selective memory with NXT.

Some people excelled early but became ineffective (Adam Rose, Tyler Breeze, to an extent, The Wyatt Family, Neville, Kalisto), some have stayed stagnant (Apollo Crews, The Vaudevillains), and some looked lost but excelled after being called up (Xavier Woods, Rusev, Baron Corbin)...

We had the intro jobbers like CJ Parker and Solomon Crowe, the obvious stars like Kevin Owens and Finn Balor, the guys we're still waiting to get called up like Hideo Itami and Kassius Ohno.

They don't have the stories as much as before, but they do have more talent and money at their disposal than ever before.

They give their polished talent the capability to tour worldwide, have "local shows" in Florida to develop the remaining talent simultaneously, and have people working hard and waiting in the wings for as spot to open up.

I think over the years, the product has definitely ebbed and flowed. The spotlight and resources being bigger than before just magnify that.

it's not all bad. NXT's tag division is kind of shytting on the main rosters' tag divisions. (well that was pre tm 61 injury). I would imagine that injury to Thorne probably screwed up a bunch of call ups. As DIY probably has to stay longer as the main face team and maybe they keep Revival down there longer than they should be.

but it does suck, in a weird way, that they have guys like roode, sheekskay, and joe fueding over a title that's supposed to be for up and coming guys. Having these sort of established guys in NXT automatically just create a huge clear cut separation of tiers. it's them and then you get the huge separation to guys like Almas, Samson, Oney, etc...
