baby, that was the old me
:martin: their numbers are virtually identical and Hakeem had nearly 700 more shot attempts than Tim

You gotta explain how Hakeem is better in every way.

Tim Duncan had the most perfect situation. Blessed with talented teammates. Even more clearer when the Spurs can win 60 games without Timmy playing.

Hakeem was carrying pure shyt. 07' cavs type of shyt & he dominated for back to back titles. Without any help.

Case closed bro.

So Jaren Jackson, Sean Elliott, Avery Johnson, Speedy Claxton, Rasho Nesterovic, Nazr Mohammed, Malik Rose, Antonio Daniels, are talented teammates:mjlol:

07 Cavs type shyt, so Clyde Drexler didnt happen in 95 :bryan:

Breh I'm almost tired of having this debate. Every single time Dream stans scream about what he would do in Tims era and every single time I ask why Dream had so little success in the late 80s and early 90s. Dream stans make it seem like he only played 3 years in the league, was in the finals every year and only lost because he had to play Mike and Magic in the playoffs every year.

Yes, Duncan is better. Winning does matter. And the fact Dream wasnt able to lead his team out of the first round on a couple occasions, so the "Jordan was in his way" thing doesnt work. Dream had better post moves and had a more visually appealing game, but Duncan had a more effective game because of his size and durability.

This thread is full of bullshyt. If Hakeem's game was so effective, where's the hardware? He got 2 chips when Mike went away. Lost in the first round countless times to and didn't make it to the playoffs during other years. Does 1987-1993 not exist to y'all? Its like u have removed all the negatives from Hakeem's career and only remember the two years he won titles. Like he wasn't playing all those other years. Like his career shouldn't be judged by the totality of everything.

I understand that a lot of people vividly remember Hakeem killing a before his prime Shaq and after his prime Pat in the finals, but don't remember when his team lost to the mighty Dale Ellis, Xavier McDaniels, Nate McMillan, and Derrick McKey led Supersonics. Or the year before that when they lost to the Mark Acquire led Mavericks. Don't gloss over those seasons like they don't exist.

Michael Jordan: Mitch Richmond was the toughest to guard.

I don't give a shyt what these players think.

:umadduncan:
you got it mixed up. Jordan said Richmond was the toughest defender that he faced.

Maybe I do.

Whatever the case, anecdotal evidence doesn't mean shyt to me no matter where it comes from.

Hakeem was great...

But better than Duncan :grippingafrancis:

When it comes to things like all nba teams and mvp's and finals mvp's and championships...Hakeem got a whole lot of 2's and 3's and 6's and 7's...and Duncan has a whole lot of 3's and 5's and 10's and 11's...

Same people in this thread shytting on Horry for shytting on Tmac who never won anything other than popularity contest are in here taking his word as gospel that Hakeem was better than Duncan :sippinafrancis:

Hakeem's easily Top 2. No player in NBA history won more with less.

Defensive versatility? Dream
Rim protector? Dream
Passer? Dream
Shooter? Dream
Scorer? Dream
Scoring arsenal? Dream
Leader? Dream

It's a no contest & I'm tired of Dream not getting his due respect because he played for the Rockets.

Imagine how many rings he would've won if he played with the Admiral, Ginobili, Parker, Kawhi & Pop for the entirety of his career. :noah:

Imagine how nobody would have known who the fukk a Pop, TP, or Manu was w/o Duncan. Nobody knew any of them before TD

Um...Pop was a new coach and those dudes weren't in the league yet. There is absolutely nothing that Duncan does better than Hakeem. Nothing whatsoever.
