Tim Duncan is one of the most overrated bigs ever. He had the perfect teams. He is an atg pf , top 10. But the Hakeems, Shaqs, Ewings, Robinsons of the world are all better.

If hakeems the goat big man then how come only 3 finals in 18 years? Cant all be because of Jordan.
He should have had more. Why is he only known for 94 and 95? What did he do the rest of his nba career? No one talks about that.
Why only 6 all nba first team? 1 mvp?

Dream had way more competition competing for 1 Center spot as opposedto hoe ass duncan competing for 2 F spots on the all nba team.

i listed all the people dream had to contend with for those spots

Actually he is.

Hakeem and Kobe are the 2 most underrated players in NBA history that players hold in higher regard than the media does.

Jordan himself said Hakeem was the best center of all time and the best player from his era beside himself.

All of Kobe's peers have said he's the best player from his era and right there with Jordan as the GOAT.

Hakeem and Kobe are top 5 all-time according to their peers.

Guys like Duncan and LeBron are not.
Lol @ how you managed to bring Kobe and Lebron into a discussion about Duncan and Hakeem

yeah, WC was stacked at PF at that time :whew:

however...to play devil's advocate here....Timmy rarely guarded those guys. He normally guarded the lesser offensive player. Duncan is my dude since Wake Forest but him being listed as a PF for most of his career has overrated him. He was truly a Center (I know, really bball is positionless) and always played next to another Center. if you have two Centers one has to be listed at PF, ala Hakeem/Sampson. Likewise if you have two PF's, like Tristan/Love, one has to be listed at PF. ingenious, but if you want to call it by position, Mailman was the best PF IMO. If you disagree fine, but if you rate Timmy as a Center where does he rank? No where close to Hakeem. :picard:

please dont take this as shytting on Timmy, the boy was great but that season that Admiral was out set off a chain of events that would impact the league for years to come.

Timmy would still be a top 5 center of all time

1.)Cap
2.)Wilt
3.)Duncan
4.)Russell( the hardest player to rank in NBA history has even less footage then wilt)
5.) Dream
6.) Shaq
7.) Moses
8.) Ewing
9.) Robinson
10.) Walton

3-7 are interchangeable

He could be 20x better. Although that sound a stretch

But We dont see these guys in practice, only in games. Things they do in practice may fully showcase their skillset in a way they can't or dont do in games

Why the fukk did you even come in this thread and randomly start talking about Kobe and even mention Lebron. fukk all this goat talk, you are truly one of the woats. I need to neg rep you and ignore you before I forget

I mentioned Kobe because he and Hakeem are very similar. They are the two most skilled basketball players in NBA history. Its why every player goes to them in the off-season if they want to improve their game.

Kobe and Hakeem are masters of the game.
