Man has led the most unprecedented comeback victories in playoff history this postseason and they're questioning his mental toughness. On the contrary, not sabotaging your chances of victory by playing into the media's desire to turn two teams fighting for a championships into a one on one with another point guard to earn your approval is mental toughness.
Problem with SAS is his pride and ego. When he gets dug in, it's too difficult for him to pivot. It's absolutely illogical to demand that a pass first point guard -- who arrived to the dance by being a pass first point guard -- turn into an iso-centric swing man up 2-1 in the NBA Finals because the only form of dominance you're capable of comprehending is PPG unless said pass first PG was your idol growing up.
And I love Magic, but he gets away with talking just to talk more than anyone on these studio sets.
If that isnt "picking your spot," I don't know what is.
