Looking at his stats he was good for atleast 900yard a season most of his career besides his rookie and his last season seasons. Outside of that he had several 1,000yard seasons.

Solid runningback...nothing home to write about dependable but not hall of fame.

But check this out

FROM 2005 TO 2018 he had 0.fumbles.

Thats 3 100+ rushing yd games a yr. Thats far from elite. He just outlasted everybody.

But as a running back, that’s a feat in itself. They get a 5-6 year peak and fall off. He was consistent for 15 fukking years even if he was getting you 800-1000 yards and he finished 3rd all time with 16,000 yards. That’s durable as fukk and easily worthy of a HOF statue. If you play that long, stay healthy and compile some of the best stats ever at your position, you are one of the best at it.

I understand but that doesn’t mean you’re Hall of Famer. I totally understand what you mean he lasted 15 years at the most brutal unforgiving position in the NFL but he was never considered the best
