Just saw this last night and wondering why it got the amount of praise that it did. The plot was weird, Mikey gets out of a psych unit in a mysterious crash that's never explained, the doctor kills the sheriff just because he wants to see Mikey face Laurie , we're told Mikey is a human but he does some supernatural shyt like being perfectly fine after being rocked by a truck, starts walking into random houses and killing people just because, multiple people have weapons/guns but fail to kill a guy with a knife etc. I can go on and on but you get the point.

Also the scene where the kid is talking with 911 who tells him to get out of a car while crazy people are walking around on the road

I didn't like this movie as much as i thought i did

Me and the wife didn't get to see it in theaters so we streamed it a few weeks ago. After reading the rave reviews from critics and movie goers alike, I was expecting to really enjoy this. Much to my disappointment, I was glad I didn't spend money on this because I would have walked out. I ended up tapping out halfway through. It started strong (if you ignore the convoluted decision to move him to a different facility on the eve of Halloween ) but the shyt went totally off the rails for me around the babysitting scene. Just really overhyped imo. The canon to me will always be 1 and 2. I prefer to omit 4, but I can rock with it being canon if it actually ended there. 4 still had arguably the most chilling ending in the entire franchise and it should have been a wrap for the franchise
there. It all coming full circle and Loomis breaking down over the realization that evil had won was perfect.

I don't even rate Halloween 2018 over H20.
