It became more of an adult event with slutty & racist costumes, wild parties, and taking pics for Instagram... Kids don't trick or treat anymore.

The police precinct was giving out candy or some shyt here tonight.....That's where everybody was going here it seemed.......I was just driving by so I don't really know. I never was a big trick-or-treater anyway.
Went ToT with my seed in LBJ's old neighborhood and only 1 house actually put effort into having trick or treaters to come knock on their door. These old cacs were so happy to see us in our costumes. Saw this one kid and asked him what houses to hit and he said in the saddest voice "There aren't many people with the Halloween spirit, just a few houses with a bowl of candy outside 
". The days of hitting up rich cacs for candy is over...

That always happens to me too. I buy all this candy and then throw it away cuz nobody comes by.I bought a shyt load of candy and decorations, and only one pair of kids came by the whole damn day

two kids came ringing my bell in this horrible weather, and neither one had a costume, one had his hoodie closed tight around his face..im lookin at both of'em like

Fun Fact : Halloween has Christian pagan origins(much like Christmas). Even trick or treating has pagan and yet, spiritual origins. I always smirk at folks that look at it as a devil's holiday and don't realize it's history. Be a sheep, brehs.
It's still big in some areas as some have mentioned. And I can remember a time when we would stay out mad late getting candy from folks. But you have trunk or treat and even church services where candy is handed out so folks feel safer. That story about candy with razors in it is an urban legend that just won't stay down for the count......
