And you're going to defend having the EXACT same boring boss fight like 4-5x because they ran out of ideas/time

Definitely better than average. The story failed to meet expectations because they marketed it as some huge battle to death between Locke and MC. Every commercial gassed up the story as some huge situation where MC goes rogue and you ultimately have to put down your favorite hero in the series for the greater good. In the end, no parts of the story were half as climactic as they gassed them up to be. Doesn't mean the story sucked. It just means they used false advertising. The gameplay continues to be top notch with controls that feel just about as good as any console FPS can possibly feel. The AI is great especially on the higher difficulties. The game has a four player co-op campaign, something you don't often see anymore. A strong multiplayer mode with loads of content. Like I said, I wouldn't call anything about this game average ESPECIALLY in an era when games are releasing with FAR LESS content for $60.

Gameplay was great, everything else was average to boring

I'm not a child, I'm not swayed by a game that just packed with modes if it's not fun to play.

You mention 4 player coop, who cares? The campaign is boring, why should I be excited to now play the same boring story mode with others?

The campaign is eh, but I didn't buy it for that. The MP is awesome, master chief is athletic as hell now, when you really have your technique down you can do some really sick battles with people. Fun as hell.
