Speaking of improvements on the art/content side, one big outcome from our demo was the emergence of the now world-renowned “Craig.” While we and the internet have come to love dear Craig, we know he wasn’t his “best self” back in July. Can you give us any updates on Craig as he stands today?

NH: Firstly, I can confirm that the facial animation on NPCs was not fully implemented in that build, which resulted in Craig’s incredibly deadpan/lifeless look. All characters are modelled in a neutral pose, prior to blendshapes & animation being applied. So, poor old Craig was never intended to be seen in that condition which is not something that was evident during the gameplay. It was only later, in the close-up freeze frame of his one bad moment, where it came to light and the legend of Craig was born.

There’s been further work done on the material fidelity and more variety added for Brute faces, we’re also working to add some hairdos and beards which was something we hadn’t gotten to in July. So, whilst we have come to love our dear old Craig, he’s certainly undergoing a significant makeover.

Ill give you six
-the sx has almost double the exclusive next gen announcements compared to ps5

-the ps5 is bc with some ps4 games only, whilst the sx is backwards compatible with all of its games, across multiple generations

-multiplats will run better on sx

-sony doesnt have a subscription service that offers better value than game pass

-ps4 controllers are partially forward compatible, whilst xbox ones controllers are completely forward compatible

-the SX will give a next gen boost to all of its BC titles, across multiple generation, the ps5 wont

If Halo Infinite stuck with the original release, man we would have seen pinnacle level fukkery. :pachaha:

Good on them for giving more dev time but they’re fighting for a rough release window. Battlefield 6, Call of Duty, God of War

At this point I don't think Halo and CoD are competing like they were in the 360 days. Completely different fanbase now. Battlefield and CoD compete somewhat, but CoD is king now.

GoW will outsell this Halo game but with this Halo being a GaaS game if it's successful it will sell and make money over time like Destiny.

They’re competing still, the pool is bigger. Rainbow Six still has support. Call of Duty prints money and Warzone just solidified them. Battlefield and Battlefront are good games just hamstringed by business.

Halo has an identity issue. It’s trying to find its footing in a new generation of games and business practices.
