Maybe the MP is good now, but MS had already poisoned the well with the lazy upkeep for the initially massive player base (250K!). That let's you know they were just riding the name to do the work instead of putting out a good product.
It won awards when it launched :wtf:
I'm not looking forward to the remake.
I detect some Tony's Creole with your salt :umad:
Campain wise yes ... mp wise hell no except blk ops 7 thats trash
Oh, you played the campaign. What was "Ass" to you  The campaign is AMAZING by the way, stop the cap :stop:
I played it, so I know what I'm talking about. You sir, remember. We have old threads we can go into. You can see how Halo was received when it launched. How it was LOVED. Only issue was it took long for season 2 to hit. Real long, then its been steady content ever since including still to this day. And Forge so you can make your own shyt. If you guys made Sea of Thieves and Grounded top sellers years after the fact, I can guarantee you'll LOVE HALO
I really gotta get back to this. I did enjoy the campaign for the few hours i played.
I'm just waiting for it to go on sale again and I'm coping it. They want $60 for it, I'd pay $40. But I seen it for $20 so that's what they'll get tops from me

Forza Motorsport 2023 won an award too, but that didn't make it any better at the time (nor nowadays to be honest). And despite it winning whatever award, we already agree that beginning part of the game's life was hamstrung by MS.

I'm not looking forward to the remake from what I've seen. The art style being inspired from Halo: Anniversary is off putting. Sprinting through purposely slow scripted segments kind of ruins the specialness of some moments. The voice acting sounded a little too overcooked but, I'll wait on that one and hope it isn't Twin Snakes level of different.

Sprinting past the Flood, or any of the meatgrinder levels, or even The Library as bad as it is is already kinda disappointing. But I'll keep an open mind because Pierre is involved and maybe it balances out somehow. :yeshrug:

I don't subscribe to your bulljive, c'mon skip, you bulljivin :stop: First off, you sound like you a Halo enthusiast on some "don't touch my Halo" when I don't recall you giving a shyt about anything Xbox but to act as if changes you yourself haven't experienced is the end all be all like if they just ruined a perfectly good game? When did you become part of the development?

AS gamers we shut thee fuuuck up and we get blessed with works of art. You either like it or you don't. But don't sit here and act like YOU KNOW BETTER on a product you know nothing about. Its weird, because who are you to say they shouldn't do this/should do that. If you that good with yours, you should actively push for a position. But until then, from what I seen. The game looks incredible. And they added 3 new levels. 4plyr co-op campaign (OG was 2ply) so just off that alone it was gonna play differently. fukk speculating, lets see what they come up with.

Now with that said, in the meantime and shyt. What's your opinion on Halo Infinite campaign?

Aside from the PC connectivity opportunities, I only really care for a select few Xbox franchises with Halo being one of them.

Regards to the changes, the footage shown unfortunately pulls visually from the Anniversary edition of CE, which is mostly panned, so we don't have to wait for that one should they choose to keep the art direction. It isn't good. They have examples of remaking assets going right with H2:Anniversary, which is near universal praise (myself included).

The rest is more of a toss up, sure, but some things like the voice acting can go south. Ex. Twin Snakes being a very good example of re-recordings going wrong. Sprint isn't needed but it wouldn't be an MS Halo release without CoD traits in it anyways. :beli:

It is less "don't touch my Halo" and more-so "stop fukking this up". Like if they just threw the Infinite MP more money to get the train moving faster, they'd be bathing in more skin money.

But don't sit here and act like YOU KNOW BETTER on a product you know nothing about. Its weird, because who are you to say they shouldn't do this/should do that.

This line of thinking bred three duds with 343i. I'd rather them stay honest to the given art piece rather than conventional MS thinking of "how can we leave our imprint on this". It's very much like how Disney treated Star Wars.

Now with that said, in the meantime and shyt. What's your opinion on Halo Infinite campaign?

I like the lean into conventional (old) Halo combat, but I did not enjoy the open world part as it felt dead. It was the worst parts of level 2 from CE as the main piece of engagement. The structured levels/areas are much better but they did not stick to it. I did not finish the game, nor did I get too far into it. I play H1-3 pretty regularly via MCC.

I wish a structured DLC came out for Infinite SP.
