Yea ima bigger halo fan, but no way in hell I'm waiting 30 minutes to get in a match, only for 1 person to leave the matchmaking and it freezes right there, now u have to manually close the game and restart the search again, and when u finally play u better hope that entire party stays cause it will freeze again

Bf4 had issues wit crashing while in game every so often, I played it day 1 tho and never had a issue wit not being able to connect to a match, shyt is horrible and somebody at 343 need to be fired asap if not the entire studio closed down
Its been the opposite for me. BF4 was literally unplayable at launch for me. Halo has never been that way.

And its Microsoft to blame not 343.

How am bf have balancing issues when it doesn't really even have a match making system? U see a server and jump into it, it put u on the team wit the least amount of players regardless of skill, and Ivan switch teams in between matches

And Whois these people, I never seen any game worst then mcc at launch and right now, shyt is worstworst
Check out the BF4 forums. People are still reporting issues.

Not even reading all this.

My point is that due to extra hype, Halos issues get talked about more here. You already agreed with that point so why to typing up huge paragraphs still?

Game is still broken no matter how much you wanna deflect that very subject nikka.

So you're saying we should eat shyt, smile, and shut the fukk up? :what: Your main argument is oh well you don't complain enough about other games so you have no right to complain about Halo :what: Maybe they really like Halo, and maybe it was a system seller and maybe they feel ripped off. They have legitimate complaints, not like they are whining at all. The fact that other companies fukked up the launch of their games doesn't excuse 343 from doing it. And be honest, Halo is a big deal and something they should NOT fukk up. This isn't driveclub or even battlefield. This is Microsoft's number 1 franchise, the shyt that put them on the video game map. There is no excuse for this many issues this long after launch.

This. Halo was a system seller for me around December but I had just got burned by Unity for the Ps4 so I waited a few weeks to see if they patched the game and well here I am still waiting.

Plus why wasn't Reach in this? That was one of my favorite Halo games behind the the original

black love, unity, and music
One of the biggest fukkups of all time.
Not the game, but @MeachTheMonster 's mother giving birth.
:umad:

Meach got you nikkas this furious? Why don't you log off and go play in traffic. If nikkas posting on a message board have you this upset perhaps you should find something else to occupy your time.

Halo: Master Chief Collection Has Been Broken For 100+ Days Now

The helmet hides the tears.

It's been four months since Halo: The Master Chief Collection came out for Xbox One, and unbelievably, the game is still broken—the matchmaking and lobby systems somehow still don't work.

For a complete, startling look at just how bad things have been, check out this full timeline of problems, patches, and game-breaking bugs over the 100+ days since the Master Chief Collection launched. It's the type of shaming that will hopefully make publishers think twice before selling a game this busted again.

Fun fact: the folks at developer 343 Industries created an achievement called "Stick With It" for players who stuck with the game... an achievement that's bugged and currently won't unlock.

It's the MASTER CHEIF collection, not the HALO collection.

Epic aint doing the game, and with 343is track record....I'm not sure if I'd be cysed over another studio (a new one at that just like 343i) handling it..........

:mjpls:

edit: and this broken shyt is sitting at an 85 metacritic score...... :kermitnunya:
1.) Maybe the game is still good in its broken state (which is overblown since broken online is common for sony fanboys :stopitslime: ) That's why its at an 85, because its an incredible value RIGHT NOW. And will only go up in value soon. Can't say the same for Killzone: The Halo Killer :sas2:

2.) You seem to have no problems with Uncharted 4 being done by a completely different team than the previous games. Same studio means NOTHING, ask RARE about that :umad:

You are a BF4 fan so you struggled through the issues, but they were there. Not lying at all. shyt was fukked way more than MCC at launch, and that goes for bother the campaign and multiplayer.
with bf4 at launch i could at least play the game online... thier was rubberbanding issues and the single player had its issues but the online was playable.... when halo mmc came out it was basically impossible to get a match going unless you did custom games.... or waited 15-30 minutes to Find a half filled lobby

17 Weeks In, Halo: The Master Chief Collection Is Basically Working

k5tauuhdauw2ytyi1mih.png

I'd been reading the latest patch for Halo: The Master Chief Collection improved the game's notoriously bad matchmaking, so I decided to load up the game to see if this was actually true.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection has been a broken game for many months. It's a cardinal sin a series known for multiplayer has been unable to connect players to one another. The most recent patch promised matchmaking was speedier. I've tested it out, and here's what I've found.
It's worth remembering how bad it used to be for Halo fans. Team Beyond put together an excellent timeline of Halo's profound issues from launch until just a few weeks ago.
It has been 100 days since the launch of Halo: The Master Chief Collection - what state is the game
At one point, people were spending upwards of an hour to search for a single match of Halo!
That's unacceptable. Heck, it remains unacceptable The Master Chief Collection shipped and charged money for how the game performed back in November. Players have been very patient.2
It also should have come with every content that was released for those games and not piecemeal it like they did.

Yet the game sold ridiculously good, and continues to do so. People show no intent to "punish" publishers for terrible broken games. If you people keep buying their shyt games when they are still broken, we're going to see this happen more and more often.

Week after week, patch after patch, 343 Industries has been promising it's been improving. At one point, the studio was going to hold a beta for a patch—a patch!—but decided to cancel it.
When you load up The Master Chief Collection, there are all sorts of multiplayer options available for you. I decided to spend one session this morning and one session this afternoon going through the non-campaign playlists and recording how much time it took get into a game.
With one exception, I was able to connect to a game within a pretty reasonable time frame.
My first test took place a little after waking up this morning:
  • Team Halo 2: Anniversary: 3 minutes and 33 seconds
  • Halo Championship: 1 minutes and 37 seconds
  • Rumble Pit: 2 minutes and 33 seconds
  • Team Slayer: 55 seconds
  • Snipers: 1 minute and 18 seconds
  • Big Team Battle: 5 minutes and 39 seconds (after which the connection dropped out)
  • Halo: Combat Evolved: 2 minutes and 58 seconds
  • Halo 2 Classic: 1 minute and 9 seconds
  • Halo 3: 1 minute and 35 seconds
  • Halo 4: 2 minutes and 24 seconds
  • Team Hardcore: 3 minutes and 22 seconds

And my second test took place later in the afternoon:
  • Team Halo 2 Championship: 1 minute and 43 seconds (faster)
  • Halo Championship Series: 2 minutes and 34 seconds (slower)
  • Rumble Pit: 5 minutes and 12 seconds (slower)
  • Team Slayer: 4 minutes and 49 seconds (slower)
  • Snipers: 1 minute and 26 seconds (slower)
  • Big Team Battle: 2 minutes and 3 seconds (faster)
  • Halo: Combat Evolved: 39 seconds (faster)
  • Halo 2 Classic: 2 minutes and 52 seconds (slower)
  • Halo 3: 1 minute and 21 seconds (faster)
  • Halo 4: 22 seconds (faster)
  • Team Hardcore: 1 minute and 49 seconds (faster)
6 out of the 11 playlist options were faster in my second test, while another five were slower.
You might have expected more be faster in the afternoon, given people were starting to get out of work and school, theoretically providing a larger pool of players to choose from. Then again, we're talking about a game that, at one point, could barely even connect people to anything.
Other players are reporting similar results:
Perhaps not coincidentally, this helps explain why Microsoft decided it was finally the right time to announce an Xbox One bundle that comes with The Master Chief Collection.
Let us know what your experience has been like! Better? Worse?
