Couple things on this: we don’t know whether it’s a good thing or bad thing that he did it and we will never know. Period. We will never see what lord and miller shot. So we have no way to compare.

Second thing we knew Kathy and crew weren’t happy with the movie as is so it stands to reason he’d basically redo the entire thing from the ground up. That’s what happens when your script gets tossed to the bushes when production starts so yeah that was always in the cards.

And third, there was no way they were going to let any of what lord and miller did stand.

They hired Lord and miller to make a Lord and miller film. What exactly did they do wrong except do what they were hired for?

If Kathleen wants point and shoot directors she should hire people that barely get work and will be yes men.

You don't hire creative people and then get mad they're being creative.

This movie doesn't really need to be made, IMO. Disney is doing way too much, but if they had to make a spinoff movie, then Boba Fett, Obi-Wan, and Vader are all much better candidates. A Boba Fett movie set after RotJ might actually be kinda tight, especially since the character was so badly shafted in the OG trilogy. Imagine having the rest of the classic Star Wars bounty hunters in supporting roles (Bossk, Dengar, IG-88)

They need to leave Han Solo alone
Nobody's going to be able to realistically fill Harrison Ford's shoes like that.
