I notice I get more attention without the beard. I don’t have a beard to get girls. Besides just being comfortable with it, it also makes me look less soft.

Also, i noticed that boomers with a beard look homeless. Not just cause they older now. They just like that.

But millennials look mentally disturbed without a beard.

Without a beard, I look like a lost child that needs a hug. Bearded up, i look like I belong in an action movie.

Obviously there are plenty of cases of people having inflated ego's.
But i think for the most part it's pretty easy to tell objectively how attractive you are compared to other people.
Standards of beauty are a social construct. Understanding these social norms isn't any more challenging than understanding any other social construct.
If you are capable of having a grasp on things people find offensive for example.(some people don't) you should be able to grasp what people find attractive.
At the very least you should know the difference between a desirable height and weight versus undesirable. Good teeth versus bad teeth, good hairline versus a receding one etc.

I lied.. I do be knowing how attractive I am to women with or without facial hair.
