That is unfortunate, but I assure you that no one I associate at with harbor any negative views on other blacks. Anti-African is a strong statement. Here in the DMV area that is not the case. I'd also like to remind you that there is a b*stardization of what is black elite. If you didn't go to HBCU and didn't attend an IVY or a respected university you are most likely not in that category. Having a good job, income and being the first generation out of poverty means you are not elite. That's the problem many had with Barack Obama which I personally believe was an over reported incident.

That's most likely the category of people you guys are running into with this sense of entitlement and snobbery. As previously stated you won't find a significant amount of difference in money between elitist's and non-elitist's. What you will find is a legacy of values.
