I doubt he even had a GED back then but for all his flaws that nikka is a finesse king so he got the job.
At any rate mad brothers were making good money at Pepsi. I'm talking high 5 figures, close to 6 figures, my dad included. Plus they got very very generous stock options (remember this was before the bubble popped). if you combine my dad's income with stock options I'm pretty sure he was making 6 figures.
So my dad had a good friend who was in managemt there and he was caking. Lets call him Jamal. Jamal moved to another state, but Pepsi had this thing where if you move, you still get to make whatever you were making. So Jamal who was already making good money now moved somewhere where the cost of living was less and salaries were less, so he was making even more than his bosses. He buys a big ass house in the suburbs.
Jamal gets cool with this guy from work and he invites him over. The guy comes over Jamal's house and looks at the inside of the house like.
Jamal was probably like on the inside. So a few days after, maybe even the next day, Jamal gets this funny feeling and goes to the window. He sees the guy he invited to his house with the boss and the guy is pointing to the house and they are both like mixed with ....
Not long after Jamal didn't have his position anymore. He didn't get fired, they just wiped out the position and he had to apply for something else that paid significantly less.
Why would you want to hang out with folks that you already spend at least 40 hours with?
If that isn't applicable, why would you give co-workers access to that part of you?
These are just questions. Personally, I keep co-workers at arms length.
Lol. I didn't even read responses but the response before me is a great example.

I say yay. It provides good networking and relationship building opportunities. Just don't act like you would when you're out with your real friends. Y'all might not be at work but you're still on the clock and eyes will be watching for you to fukk up. Also, don't try and holla at any of your coworkers. Just not worth it and counter productive in the long run.
