Boston Celtics legend Robert Parish, affectionately known as "Chief", is 63 years old today.
For the unfamiliar, Chief is a 4x NBA Champion (3x with the Celtics

Despite playing alongside Bird and McHale in the Celtics' famed 1980s frontcourt, Parish stood out as a 7-footer that launched precision shots from beyond the pain and also finished fast breaks. Bill Walton once called him the "greatest shooting big man of all time" because of Parish's field goal and free throw shooting ability. His trademark was his high-release J that had a very high arc before falling.
He has career averages of 15ppg, 9rpg, and almost 2bpg.
Chief is currently the Celtics' team consultant and mentor for current Celtics big men.
Just another example of #blackexcellence from the Boston Celtics
