If you like the first one, you should like it for what it is. It’s heavy on nostalgia. I would not watch it, if a person really didn’t like the first one

When I heard they were making a sequel, I expected it to something that Shooter McGavin eats for breakfast.
But the early reviews so far are decent and said fans should generally enjoy it.
So hopefully it’s fun and entertaining
