Haha. Whoever writes the real scripts is overpaid, these are as good as any real Sandler films. Given how lazy so many films are these days it makes me wonder how many movies are being co-written by Chat GPT.

Anyway I watched this and had the same observation about many recent films, its too long. If its a twisty drama or thriller you can get away with this length - almost 2 hours. For a silly comedy film like this, minus the credits it should be around 90 minutes max. The storys too simple and generic to not get boring over 2 hours, so it burns whatever goodwill is built up by the midway point.

Caddyshack - 93 mins
Happy Gilmore - 87 mins

Filmmakers know this too, so I don't get why this happens.

This was really mid. A lot of jokes didn't land at all. I wouldn't say it's horrible, the cameos were fun. But it was definitely a disappointment.

This was better than expected. Loved seeing Shooter and Happy team up. John Daly the golfer was funny as hell. One of Sandlers best in years.
