House of Africa does an event down in Charlotte by central and Thomas. When I was younger it was just a parade, these days it's a full weekend block party with local vendors, art, music, food etc.

It's pretty cool. Meet a lot of people. It's a great time. Get great food. Hear stories. Support local/black business.

Happy Juneteenth! If the educational system was worth a damn, this would be the GOAT black holiday.
