Rarely is Kwanzaa mentioned on here, did a search, and your username popped up three times. lol.

Been thinking about Kwanzaa a lot this year. Three weeks ago my financial aid counselor wished me a Happy Kwanzaa and I sort of gave her a "I don't celebrate the holidays" reply because I was not in the holiday spirit at all and dreaded this week.

So now that I think about it, I'm surprised only one person wished me a Happy Kwanzaa. Think it should be incorporated in more people's lives since it's a powerful tradition. Nobody in my family celebrates, and I don't officially, but I will be following it this year. I'm in the spirit this week. Finishing the year strong.

The basics:

Kwanzaa - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kwanzaa - Holidays - HISTORY.com

For NYC residents:
Savion and Doug E. Fresh will be at Museum tomorrow for special day.

I can't go to this :( because I have to show up for family and friends celebrating something else. It's rare to have an event like this in Winter time for less than 20 bucks.
