"The Cincinnati Bengals and Geno Atkins have agreed to a long-term extension, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported Monday, per a person who had been briefed on the deal.

The extension will be for five years and $55 million, Rapoport reported, with the defensive tackle earning $22 million in the first six months. The contract will pay Atkins $36 million in new money over the extension's first three years."

Prototype FB's are a dying breed. We'd rather have a pass catching H-Back out of the backfield like Frank Wycheck.

That's why Orson Charles stayed.

This.. last year we used a fb on 10-15% of our snaps, so its not a big deal (i hope)
Charles is more versatile and a better receiver which is what Jay Gruden wants out of his FB for his west coast offence..
