It doesn't touch any of his previous projects for me which didn't have any skippables for me.

i feel you, trilogy hasnt been topped yet. i c/s the in the night opinion too.
but i remember seeing the whole album on random pop listeners spotify, he needed that album to solidify his current spot in the game. plus the highs of the album was great (tell your friends, real life, as i am/as you are, etc)

It was mediocre for a dude that dropped trilogy.
But it was a good album, a good pop album just like Rihannas last album was good.
It didn't really showcase his greatness though, which we all know that he can unleash whenever he wants. Working with Avril lavigne, Adam Lambert, One Direction, Britney Spears song writers and on. I mean it's all good but he sets up a glass ceiling with that type of music.

After Earned It, the rest of them songs are trash. I can stomach the Ed Sheehan song but it's still weak IMO
