I got an idea. Not sure I like it, but it might be useful, I don't know.
Royce White, Cole Aldrich and Scott Machado for Luke Ridnour (and Lou Amundson in case the money needs to work)
thoughts? Not saying I like it, but we could use an upgrade over Stiemsma at center, we could give Aldrich some minutes to see whether he could stick around on the cheap, both he and Royce are from MN, but the real prize would be getting Machado to eventually be Rubio's backup for a while. With Luke, he's an upgrade at backup PG over Toney Douglas and he's a good shooter who could even play some SG in a pinch.
It gives you a player that can help you continue to compete now while my team gets to sell off an asset and get half a year to evaluate Aldrich and Machado (I could care less about Royce, and that saga can end for y'all) and see whether they can make the team next year.
EDIT: forgot y'all just waived Machado. I'd make a deal like this anyway and sign Machado afterward.
