I mean, why can't KD win another game? Or hell, 2?
The Bucks offense has not been shooting that well. And he still has Griffin, Green, and Joe Harris with him. If those guys play like shyt, that's a different story. But if they play fine, what's the excuse? In game 4, the Bucks offense took FOREVER to get the lead up to 20 despite the Nets doing fukk all on offense.
And again, in 2019, Steph Curry, with:
an old bench (Bogut and Livingston retired that offseason,
no KD
and Draymond Green who's offense had fallen off at that point...
still beat Houston in 6 (despite many picking Houston to win them that series)
...and then SWEPT a Portland team that wasn't that far off than his own (while breaking the record for most PPG in a sweep in NBA playoffs history with 37 PPG)
...and then pushed Toronto to 6, averaging 30, while being boxed and 1 the whole series. Klay Thompson was his only real offensive help during that stretch. Oh yeah, and in the game where he didn't have Klay or Durant, he dropped 47. People sleep on what Curry did that season.
I'm not asking Durant to go all the way to the Finals, but winning a game or 2 against Milwaukee shouldn't be asking too much. Jrue Holiday and Middleton are good, but not world beaters. And we already know the flaws with Giannis's game. He has been called for charges more often, and that will increase especially when they play at Brooklyn. If Durant can score efficiently enough, and pass well out of doubles, and imrpove his body language, that plus the calls he'll get at home should help. Again, unless Brown, Green, Harris, Griffin, etc. ALL shyt the bed.
Not to mention, Kyrie will be back probably by game 7.
And again, the bucks offense has been mediocre this series so far.
