Coli said KD is the best in the world.

Best player in the world can live up to the hype.

KD ain’t shyt like Curry without another star

KD can’t do this shyt by himself

he bout to go OD on the burner accounts :mjlol:

Congrats to the Suns for winning the title

Durant getting smacked w/o help:mjlol:

Bron swept a 60 win team in the ECF without Kyrie and Love

No excuses :hubie:

Someone change KD’s wiki to say his dad is PJ Tucker

Man shut the fukk up. Bron had Mosgov and Delly who almost died as sidekicks yall said get it done. No excuses for KD aka the best player on the planet

I mean, why can't KD win another game? Or hell, 2?

The Bucks offense has not been shooting that well. And he still has Griffin, Green, and Joe Harris with him. If those guys play like shyt, that's a different story. But if they play fine, what's the excuse? In game 4, the Bucks offense took FOREVER to get the lead up to 20 despite the Nets doing fukk all on offense.

And again, in 2019, Steph Curry, with:
an old bench (Bogut and Livingston retired that offseason,
no KD
and Draymond Green who's offense had fallen off at that point...

still beat Houston in 6 (despite many picking Houston to win them that series)

...and then SWEPT a Portland team that wasn't that far off than his own (while breaking the record for most PPG in a sweep in NBA playoffs history with 37 PPG)

...and then pushed Toronto to 6, averaging 30, while being boxed and 1 the whole series. Klay Thompson was his only real offensive help during that stretch. Oh yeah, and in the game where he didn't have Klay or Durant, he dropped 47. People sleep on what Curry did that season. :wow:

I'm not asking Durant to go all the way to the Finals, but winning a game or 2 against Milwaukee shouldn't be asking too much. Jrue Holiday and Middleton are good, but not world beaters. And we already know the flaws with Giannis's game. He has been called for charges more often, and that will increase especially when they play at Brooklyn. If Durant can score efficiently enough, and pass well out of doubles, and imrpove his body language, that plus the calls he'll get at home should help. Again, unless Brown, Green, Harris, Griffin, etc. ALL shyt the bed.

Not to mention, Kyrie will be back probably by game 7.

And again, the bucks offense has been mediocre this series so far.

Its just hilarious how this board wants Durant perceived as a greater player than all his contemporaries, but held to a lower bar than them all. And it aint just Bron---->a recent thread revealed cats want him graded differently than Kawhi. Add Steph, Harden, Giannis, Westbrook, Paul, a few more...

Dudes want to convince you Durant is so much greater than everybody but God forbid you hold him to the same standards you hold his peers to lmao...

That said, 2.5 quarters without Kyrie isn't enough to proclaim his effort as a failing one, so cats saying that are outta line. But there were some tells in that 2.5 quarters that are worth talking about...

After Kyrie's exit Durant went 6-19 with 4 of his 5 turnovers. This is not the first glimpse we've seen of KD without another elite scorer next to him, and historically this is what he turns into. Forcing bad shots (he had one go off the side of the backboard tonight), careless ball handling (was stripped by PJ once and lost another in transition), inconsistent movement without the ball, limp wrist passes, etc...

It hasn't been often he's had to play without an elite scoring teammate, and even in those stretches he's still prone to get hot and torch you. But more often, in these rare occasions, his efficiency and tenacity take a nose dive, and you see this in his body language too. So something im watching in G5, is if he's overcome this, that while it's a tougher road to plow without your elite help, he can stay in the game with something at least close to his normal shot selection and ball handling. If you lose you lose, but don't let the loss be because you can't elevate your performance...

KD didn't sign up for this. It's not fair!!

Most of the posters defending KD in here would have either been "no excuses, he's a superstar and suppose to be the 2nd all time behind magic all.tine, get it done"

Or elevate washed blake,Joe harris and Jeff green to all star caliber players had it been steph instead of KD.

When it's steph, the nuances and contextual analysis we have seen on this thread would goes right out of the window

Durant gets handled with kiddie gloves on this site.

They NEED him to be great for the sake of their own narratives.

Bron also quit once AD got hurt and Booker was snatching their soul and Cam Payne being Spliff Star in a closeout game . KD had a legendary performance with a triple double in all 48 minutes fighting back to win a game when down by 20 :hubie:
