Black Rob

Craig Mack

Total

112

Craig Mack? YES

Black Rob? YES

Total? No. They had two albums and broke up. They had about the same run as any girl group not named SWV, TLC, Destiny's Child, or Xscape. They still had a lot of hits though and could go toe to toe in a Verzuz with Xscape or SWV.

112? Definitely, no. This is a group with two double platinum albums and another album that went gold that dropped nearly 10 years after their debut.

I don't think you understand the thread. It's not speaking on who was one hit wonders or fell off before having a real career. It's about acts that were hot as hell and then seemingly overnight. Career longevity don't mean shyt for this thread.

But none of those artists just fell off overnight. 112 had three consecutive hot albums. How is that falling off seemingly overnight?

Total not only had a hot album, they had gold singles on a soundtrack, big features that were huge, a second album that was home to their biggest single, and they broke up shortly after the album dropped. Not the same as Craig Mack or Black Rob, who really did seemingly fall off overnight. "Flava In Ya Ear" and "Woah" were everywhere, but after those songs fizzled out, it was like they fell off the face of the planet. Rob went platinum, but it was quiet. He popped up later on "Let's Get It" and "Bad Boys 4 Life" from Puff's album, but he went back to prison and we didn't hear from him again until 2005. Most slept on Robb Report.
