Which loss has your team(s) taken that burned your soul the most?

-2014 UK vs UofL game: it was that game that I officially admitted that Cal owned Rick. The previous year we had a horribly officiated loss at Rupp so you'd figure next year would be revenge mode, right?

:stopitslime:

Wrong. Tyler Ulis/Devon Booker went off on us that game and the score (58-50) didnt reflect the talent disparity. Had the game gone into another period, UK would won by 15+. Game made me realize that as much as I love Rick, his insistence on not recruiting or starting one/dones means Louisville can't consistently be a powerhouse like UK, Duke, UNC, Kansas.

-2014 Week 12 STL Rams vs SD Chargers: Rams were 4-6 going into this game. Bradford got hurt in the preseason and the rams had been playing backups Shaun Hill and Austin Davis.

Austin Davis had been benched two weeks prior against AZ, and Hill was the starter and had won a beatdown of a game against the Broncos. A win at San Diego puts us 5-6 and the next two game were against the Raiders and Redskins who were horrible in 2014-2015 season. If we could run the table we'd finally be in the playoff hunt.:blessed:

What we got instead was crapfest of a game that culminated in Shaun Hill (who had a fumble which led to SD scoring earlier in the game) throwing a pick in the end zone with a minute of game time left. The rams were already in game tying FG position at the time of the pick :dwillhuh:

I was done with the Rams. It was apparent we'd never be quality team as long as both Fisher was there and as long as we lacked a real QB.

*Honorable Mention* 2015 NLDS STL Cards vs. Chicago Cubs: Cards had the best record in baseball and the Cubs had caught fire since the all star break. First postseason meeting of the ball clubs believe it or not.

Cubs won 3-1. That series made me realize that the Cubs had a tough core in Arrieta, Schwarber, and Bryzzo. Then of course they added to that the following year with Jason Heyward and John Lackey :hhh:

Cards have been struggling ever since. We overachieved that season and have not seen the returns on our young players that we thought.

I'm a Knicks fan so we don't play meaningful games :ld:

The hardest loss is probably not even a single game

It's the wave of optimism that comes before the start of every season based on faux power moves from the FO, only to be shytty again and again, year after year.

That's the hardest loss :mjcry:

2000 WCF. Portland had that shyt.

Being up against Seattle a few years ago for the conference championship and losing in OT was a tough one too.
