The majority of Congress and people in those type of positions are bought and paid for, so this information shouldn't be surprising in the slightest. It's only surprising if you don't know the term lobbyist and how they influence decisions even at the highest level.
Exposing the real truth about lobbyist would destroy whatever little faith that people have left in the country's politicial system if they knew that the rich were pulling strings at every political level.
