Still betting all my coli bucks that black Snape is going to be LGBTQ+.
1) The creators and cast are firmly opposed to JK Rowlings belief, but love the property. So they want it to be inclusive. (they put a trans person in the hogwarts game to distance from her. They definitely putting them in this new series.)
2) They generally use interracial couples when portraying lgbtq romance. and often a black man is the part of the equation.
3) Snape isn't romantically attached to anyone but a white women, and they still try to avoid bm/wf relationships when possible (unless the story is about racism a bm/wf couple is facing). Otherwise is wm/bf usually. so he probably isn't going to have the same romantic history with harry's mom as she is still white. Plus it wouldn't be good look for a breh to be simping that hard after a dead white woman.

They'll split the difference and make him bisexual.
Snape and Lily were really good friends growing up. He was "different" and she was like Hermione (elite magical ability despite muggle parents).
Since TV show Snape will be Black.....they may incorporate his weirdness for why he was a social outcast....or the fact he was Black. Maybe even turn him into a bisexual breh for the LGBTQ fans.
Either way, Lily loved Snape as a friend but not romantically. They have no issue showing a BM wanting a WW, as long as she DOES NOT return the affection. She will friend-zone him or she'll know he wants her...but he won't ever actually make a move on her.
Snape will want her. Snape might even be attracted to James Potter but James treats him like shyt while Lily cares about Snape. The breh will be bisexual but in love with white people that don't love him back.

Mane I’d be so pissed if he was bi lmao, because it’ll dilute the character even more(nothing against offense to my bi brothas) Because has someone who has worked behind the scenes in production, I know they are absolutely playing in our face and minimizing us to their ideal of art
Snape easily has one of the most provocative redemptive arcs in literature history and for them to display him as a black man I thought would be dope.
I get it, people are obsessed with the racialized optics especially with the Marauders and their bullying, but fukk it, it is what it is(and it’s reality)
I don’t think it was too many people who can carry the weight of who Snape truly is. I believe Paapa will absolutely kill it.
