If they're gonna do that then why not build your own universe and look first? Its makes more sense than to just build off the movies.

The only spinoff that would be a lock for success in my opinion would be a Marauders series because it involves Snape, Dumbledore, Sirius, Lupin and other established fan favorites plus fans have always wanted more info regarding James and Lilly’s courtship. That would PRINT money but Rowling has never seemed keen on exploring that for whatever reason.

Yes and now. It's sacrilegious to millennials , but the younger generations after millennials for the most part don't connect with harry like we did. This will introduce this world to a new generation.

Plus book purists always get mad about things taken out so it will be more detailed.

I do find bit odd from a marketing standpoint. everywhere around the world has harry potter themed stuff. with the OG trio I was in Japan a few months ago and they had trains with the actors faces on them. Not to mention the parks all over. I'm curious to how they will handle this in the future.

This is the younger generation’s Harry Potter. We had our time and now a new generation is about to experience. This cast/adaptation of Harry Potter age and get older. I too would rather have this take place in another wizarding school. Outside of Hogwarts with original characters and story arcs…but it is what it is.
