If this is a Harry Potter series it either needs to be an adaption based around the original 7 books or be completely detached from them, not any Fantastic Beasts shyt. Being real I don't think the world JK Rowling built outside of Hogwarts holds up to scrutiny and tbh a couple things inside the walls of Hogwarts are suspect

JK a real underrated example of making shyt up as you go along. She definitely had overarching ideas in mind from the jump but she didn't put a massive deal of thought into the world beyond Hogwarts until later on and its why any HP property that doesn't center around Harry Potter himself is going to have immersion issues

Facts bruh I've never seen a creator of an IP squander it with all the post publication retcons. I have this theory that JK wants Harry Potter tied as closely to her as possible, as if they're synonymous. I got no evidence for this but she moves in such a way

I don't even care about her political views or alignment
She just can't write for shyt anymore and especially can't write Harry Potter anymore. She caught fire in a bottle with her series and ever since then all her work has been average

I view Rowling how I view George Lucas post prequels he/she deserves all the credit for the franchise but they are absolutely incapable of crafting a story by themselves
Fantastic Beasts movies have been garbage no magic or love in them at all. Maybe its the direction or the fact that no one will stand up to her but the only thing that could make me interested in the series would be if Rowling wasn't involved or they managed to get the OG cast back( and I know for a fact Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint want zero parts of Harry Potter now)
