You have to be connected, a lot people that work in the industry are connected through family or have money. If your Jewish it seems like every door opens up for you, it was tough being someone of color in Hollywood because there is no corporate ladder for you to climb. Companies lack black leadership so a lot of the black people in the industry hit a ceiling and get stuck at that point.
