This whole story is full of , ol'boy is sleeping and two robbers come in a try to rob him. He then "escapes" and they chase after him and fire shots? I mean why not just take whatever they wanted from the apartment.

Marvin just happens to be on that street at that time. Something else was afoot brehs.

Probably called him up saying, "that's the 3rd time that car circled the block."
