Happened to me twice before. This first time, it was my next door neighbor. I was super young. My ball bounced into her yard and I heard her say it when I asked her if she could throw it back over to me. I didn’t even know what the word meant because I hadn’t heard it before. Later on, I walked into the house and asked my mom what that word meant. She was making dinner and dropped everything to ask me where I heard it and who said it to me. I told her that I heard the neighbor say it when I asked her to pass my ball back over the fence. She didn’t say anything else to me after that. She went to get my older sister and started banging on the neighbor’s front door. When she answered, the whole block could hear her getting screamed on by the both of them. It certainly didn’t help that they were the only white people who lived on the block. My mom told her to never speak to me or look at me again. They moved within a year after that.
The second time, I was maybe 18 or 19. I was out of town at a club with a bunch of my homies. One of my guys was hitting it off with some white shorty who made it clear that she had every intention of leaving with him when the time came. At some point later in the night, she got into an argument with another girl I assume she had a prior history with because things escalated so quickly between them. I was trying to look out for my boy, so I broke it up in an attempt to keep the vibes for the night positive. We all left shortly after that with the girl my boy pulled. The other chick who wanted to fight her came outside after we were halfway to the car and started shouting at us calling us “fukking ******s!” in the middle of the street in a busy downtown area. I didn’t take it well at all. I charged her and fortunately my dudes kept me from getting to her. There’s no way I wouldn’t have gotten locked up that night. I’m not even a violent person but hearing those words in that particular moment did something to me.
At this point in my life though, I’ve got too much to lose. I’d probably just laugh and say some dikkhead shyt back. Don’t trip OP.

Yes, as a child in L.A. by even some of my teachers (mainly Asian ones). From my teen years to present, no one has said it to my face.
