Vince is super stuck in his ways, this actually makes me hate that match now. So I’m order of importance is the universal total, Roman reigns cena then the wwe title. Check. Well, they were chanting dumb shyt during the ME, so I'm not surprised. 
The quality of both shows post-Wrestlemania have been terrible. I haven't watched a full RAW or Smackdown in awhile.

It’s been a regular occurrence for a long time now that Cena or Roman will regularly go on last even if they’re not competing for the title. It really makes the whole product seem irrelevant if one guy is more important than the top championship in the promotion. If that’s the case, then what is the point of these guys competing in the first place?

That is nothing like that at all. Wrestling is not a team sport.
A better analogy would be going to see a basketball team you root for play in a tournament. If your team doesn't advance to the next round you're not going to stick around and watch two teams you have no rooting interest in.
