Has a sad scene in a movie ever made your eyes watery?

Alot of people think crying or being teary while watching something sad means you're emotional. Not necessarily, it could just mean you're very empathetic depending on what you're feeling as you're watching the scenes. I've learned this about myself cause some people have emotional empathy without realizing it.

Above the fray.

“Chise, you coulda been the greatest man. You coulda been...”

When Pooter sees Preach come out of the bushes as the car drives off......really sad.

I saw the film many times, but watched it last year after we buried one of my sandbox friends..and I fell apart watching that part.

In Roots......the original series, there's a scene that destroys me every time.

SPOILER if you haven't watched it

Not the violence. There's a scene where enslaved Kunta captures a butterfly...gives him a message and tells him to fly off and give the message to his family. He releases it.

I don't think any scene has ever captured the despair of what ancestors went through like that one.
