and i love dancehall but i been saying on this site for years that the genre is suffering because of the overwhelming toxic content.

dancehall being slack has given room for reggaeton and afrobeat to shine

they need to switch up the subject matter and profanity

afrobeats has a some dancehall flavor in it but it doesn't have the overload of badness & slackness

Yes it has. Dancehall lost its way when it started copying other genres. Dancehall is now copying Afrobeats. There is even some bullshyt subgenre of dancehall called "trap".
Dancehall is an embarrassment. I can't even name a riddim that came out in the last five years.

Afrobeats is more wholesome and uplifting. Dancehall is slackness, c00nery, and buffoonery.
